About The Apprenticeship
Here at Land & Wave, we’re a close-knit bunch of both family and friends, so you’ll be welcomed with open arms.
You can expect a friendly, personal experience whilst gaining professional, relevant qualifications to propel you into your outdoor career. You’ll train alongside three other apprentices for 2023/24 and meet plenty of other aspiring outdoor professionals as they start their career in Outdoor Adventure.
We have been successfully training instructors for the last 12 years and this is our second year running this awsome apprenticeship
The Details
If you love the outdoors and want to pursue a career in it, then this apprenticeship scheme is the perfect opportunity to dive into something that actually sets your world on fire. During the 12-13 months you’ll gain 14 (NGB) qualifications PLUS a wide range of in-house qualifications too, which will bolster your skills in instructing and managing groups of all ages.

-Foundation safety & rescue training
-Coastal navigation & tidal planning
-Paddlesport instructor
DofE (Duke of Edinburgh’s Award)
-Duke of Edinburgh expedition supervisor/assessor
FAA (First Aid Awards)
-Outdoor first aid – 16 hours
-Level 2 safeguarding course
NCFE
– Level 2 Bushcraft Instructor Training
– Level 2 Bushcraft Instructor Assessment
RLSS (Royal Life Saving Society)
-Water safety management program level 3
NCC (National Coasteering Charter)
